The Magic Invention in Egypt: National Selection for Road to ICIA 2026

The journey to the International Creativity and Innovation Awards (ICIA) 2026 officially begins

with “The Magic Invention in Egypt”, the National Selection for Road to ICIA 2026.This inspiring event will take place on February 2–3, 2026, in Alexandria City, Egypt, organized by The Science Center for Programming Education (Science Academy).

Focused on sustainability and climate change, the event aims to raise awareness and foster innovation among students and young inventors from various educational levels. It serves as a platform for participants to share creative ideas, present innovative solutions, and contribute to building a more sustainable future.

The importance of this event lies in empowering individuals and organizations to address global environmental challenges, stimulate green innovation, and promote sustainable development in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Event Objectives

• Raise awareness about the importance of sustainability and climate change across all age groups.

• Encourage innovation and develop new solutions to address environmental challenges.

• Motivate active participation of students and innovators in sustainable environmental projects.

• Build a network connecting inventors, startups, and environmental organizations.

• Support knowledge and experience exchange among participants in the field of sustainability.

• Contribute to achieving sustainable development goals at local and global levels.

Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the competition, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Age Group: Open to students from early childhood (4 years old) up to university level. Participants will be grouped by age categories to ensure fair competition.

• Educational Level: Open to students from primary, middle, and secondary schools, as well as universities. Students from international schools, alternative education, or homeschooling are also eligible.

• Team Size: Participation can be individual or in teams (1–4 students per team).

• Innovation Project Submission: Each participant or team must submit an innovative project related to sustainability, environment, robotics, artificial intelligence, or climate change adaptation and mitigation.

• Interest in the Field: Applicants should demonstrate genuine interest in innovation, science, technology, or entrepreneurship.

• Language: Basic proficiency in English is preferred, especially for international categories.

• Parental Consent: Participants under 18 must provide signed parental consent.

As part of the Road to ICIA 2026, The Magic Invention in Egypt serves as a national gateway for young innovators to represent Egypt at the international stage. Through this event, the Science Academy continues to empower the next generation of creators who will shape a sustainable and innovative future for all.
