ICIA 2026 National Selection – Japan

We are pleased to announce that Japan’s Road to ICIA 2026 will be conducted through the STEAM Symphony (Manabi no Kyōsō) Contest, organized by General Incorporated Association steAm BAND.

The STEAM Symphony Contest is an inquiry-based, creativity-centered program that brings together learners, mentors, and experts to explore ideas across science, technology, art, philosophy, and society. Rather than competition, the contest emphasizes co-creation, reflection, and innovation, values that strongly align with the spirit of ICIA.

Under the leadership of

• Sachiko Nakajima — Representative Director & Producer for Expo 2025 Osaka

the program provides a platform for students across Japan to explore meaningful questions, develop original projects, and present insights shaped by curiosity and collaboration.

The selected teams from this contest will proudly represent Japan at the International Creativity and Innovation Awards (ICIA) 2026 in Cambodia. 🌏💡
